Golf Cart Seat Cover Installation

How to Install Your Golf Cart Seat Covers

Installing your Cart Armor™ golf cart seat covers is quick and simple. Our covers are designed to install over your existing factory seats and secure tightly using built-in straps and buckles for a snug, secure fit.

Before You Start

To make installation easier, we recommend:

  • Installing in a clean, dry area
  • Starting with the seat back first, then the bottom cushion
  • Removing the bottom seat cushion for the best fit (recommended)

Step 1 — Install the Seat Back Cover

  1. Slide the seat back cover over the top of the seat back.
  2. Pull it down evenly so the seams and corners line up.
  3. Wrap the straps around the back of the seat.
  4. Buckle and tighten the straps until the cover fits snug and secure.
  5. ✅ Tip: Take a second to smooth the fabric and align everything before tightening the buckles.

Step 2 — Remove the Bottom Seat Cushion (Recommended)

  1. For the cleanest, tightest install, remove the bottom cushion first.
  2. Fold the bottom cushion up.
  3. Pull the bottom cushion out of the cart.
  4. Place it upside down on a table or clean surface. This makes it much easier to stretch the cover evenly and tighten the straps correctly.

Step 3 — Remove the Handles (Recommended)

  1. If your seat bottom has handles, installation works best if you remove them first.
  2. Remove the handles from the bottom cushion.
  3. Set the hardware aside so it’s ready to reinstall.

Step 4 — Install the Bottom Seat Cover

  1. Slide the bottom seat cover over the cushion.
  2. Pull it evenly into position so it sits straight and smooth.
  3. Fasten the straps and buckles underneath the cushion.
  4. Tighten everything until the cover is snug and secure.
  5. ✅ Tip: Tighten the straps evenly from side to side for the best fit.

Step 5 — Reinstall the Handles + Seat Cushion

  1. Reinstall the handles (if removed).
  2. Slide the bottom cushion back into the golf cart.
  3. Make final adjustments by smoothing the cover and checking alignment.
  4. Final Tip: If your cover looks slightly wrinkled right after installation, don’t worry — once it’s tightened and broken in, it will settle into place and look even better.
